We all arrived in Amsterdam
safely and the Round Robin had begun on the Monday
of the 22nd
of March. The opening of the tournament was on the
Sunday which was then followed by a pro-am pairs (for
the sponsors and anyone that wants to play). The
format of the Round Robin was 23 x 10 board rounds,
in which the top four teams proceed into a
semi-final knockout. After 18 rounds, Australia was
running second on 329 VPs behind the Israeli leaders
who are on a massive 355VPs. Running 3rd, 4th and
5th are France 1 (316VPs), France 2 (315VPs) and
Netherlands Red (309VPs), respectively.
Unfortunately our last three sets were not very
promising we missed out on the cut-off as France 2
overtook us in the very last round. For the final
results you can find it on

Despite the upset, we indeed managed to forewarn our
competitors for the upcoming World Juniors in
Philadelphia. The event overall was fantastic and we
would like to thank everyone who has made this
possible. I will write up an article about this very
soon when I have the time. Until then, we hope you
enjoyed the vugraph shows that we put up especially
the night owls that stayed up for it =) Peace out!
